up NOW for Voluntary Pre-K!
FREE VPK is
available to all Florida four-year-olds. Your child must be four
on or before September 1st of the school year in which they will
attend VPK. The program provides developmentally appropriate instruction
and activities to prepare your child to be school ready.
VPK is offered
through approved private and faith-based child care centers, family
homes, and the School Districts of Flagler and Volusia Counties.
The program
gives families two choices to participate: a 540 instructional hour
school year program or a 300 hour summer
program
How To
Register
Parents/Guardians
have two options when registering their 4 year old for VPK. Parents/Guardians
may complete the application process online at http://www.floridajobs.org/VPK/index.html
or come to a VPK registration location and complete the entire process
once at the appointment. **If you complete the online application,
you will be contacted by the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler
and Volusia Counties to set up an appointment to complete the process.

Registration is ongoing for the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)
Program
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
230 North Beach Street, Daytona Beach, FL 32114
(Located just north of the USPS Post Office on Beach Street,
corner of 3rd Street & Beach Street).
Parking is in the rear of the building.

you will need to bring for VPK Registration
Bring your child’s birth certificate, social security number,
and proof of your current Florida residence.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: What
happens after I’ve registered?
A: You’ll receive a VPK Certificate of Eligibility which you’ll
take to an approved VPK provider to complete the enrollment process.
Q: How
do I know who the VPK providers are?
A: See VPK Providers on our Provider Locator page *Please link to
another page titled “Provider List” attached to this
document.
Q: What
if I can’t find my child’s birth certificate?
A: You may also use a shot record signed by the child’s physician
or a passport.
Q: What
documents can I use for proof of Florida residency?
A: Your driver’s license (if it shows your physical address),
a utility bill, or a pay stub will work.
